Tyler Skinner

Co-Founder of Vanguard Impact

Tyler Skinner is a Community Architect, Speaker, and Entrepreneur based in California. She is the Founder of Women Making Waves, a global movement and mentorship platform amplifying women’s voices, leadership, and lived experiences through curated events, immersive retreats, and creative collaborations. Tyler also leads Empowered by Experiences, a boutique consultancy that supports women founders, creatives, and wellness leaders in designing transformational offerings and launching with clarity and courage.

Before launching these initiatives, Tyler held leadership roles in business development and community impact, serving mission-driven startups, global brands like Cartier, and nonprofit organizations. She has built and scaled multiple ventures and understands firsthand the courage it takes to rebuild after loss, having navigated personal and professional upheavals that reshaped her purpose and fire.

Her passion sits at the intersection of women’s empowerment, storytelling, and the inner work required to build bold, sustainable impact. Tyler is known for her grounded presence, heart-forward approach, and her belief that transformation begins when we stop trying to be the expert and start showing up as ourselves.

She is a sought-after mentor and speaker, having facilitated workshops, keynotes, and panel discussions across North America, and hosts the Mishaps, Magic, and Mayhem podcast, which features real stories of rising through challenge with grit, grace, and humor and after a huge loss in 2020, has rebuilt her business from scratch—turning fear into fire every step of the way. Outside of work, she’s a mother of two, a lover of soulful travel, ocean dips, and unexpected conversations.

Joining the Vanguard Impact planning team was a natural extension of her mission. “We need spaces that don’t just inspire us, but that hold us through change,” Tyler says. She’s honored to co-create an experience where women rise together, feeling connected and fully in their power.
